Your tour begins with a scenic drive from Kathmandu to Chitwan, which takes approximately 5–6 hours. The road winds through hills and valleys before reaching the flat and fertile plains of the Terai. Upon arrival, you’ll check into a jungle resort or lodge located near the national park. After a short rest, enjoy a welcome briefing followed by a leisurely walk or a sunset view by the Rapti River. In the evening, experience a traditional Tharu cultural dance performance, showcasing the rich heritage of the local indigenous community. Dinner and overnight stay at the resort.
Rise early for a full day of jungle adventure. Begin with a canoe ride along the Rapti River, where you might spot crocodiles, kingfishers, and other water birds. After breakfast, head out for a guided jungle walk, offering a chance to learn about the flora, fauna, and tracking techniques from local naturalists. Later in the afternoon, enjoy a jeep safari through the national park to see wildlife such as rhinos, deer, wild boars, peacocks, and—if lucky—even Bengal tigers or sloth bears.
